Farmer Innivation Center and Forest Lab, Angangba, Nagaland
In 2016, we established the Farmers’ Innovation Centre (FIC), a social hub designed to bring together and disseminate innovative ideas and best practices developed by individual farmers. The aim of the FIC is to facilitate knowledge sharing among farmers across the state and in other regions with similar agroclimatic conditions. The Centre was built through a combination of community contributions and crowdfunding support raised via the Ketto platform.
Over time, the Centre has also evolved into an Eco Resort, offering immersive farm-stay experiences to visitors, researchers, and volunteers. This not only promotes sustainable tourism but also generates alternative income for local communities while fostering deeper appreciation of rural life, agroecology, and indigenous food systems and Biodiversity.
